The ACEEPT Project Week 2023 will be hosted by the University of Applied Sciences Thomas More Mechelen, but for the project week 2023, the wonderful city of ANTWERP will be our home base!

The conference venue will be Antwerp Thomas More Campus St. Andries which is located within walking distance from the youth hostel Pulcinella, where all participating students will be staying.

BY TRAIN

High-speed trains from France, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Germany have connections with Antwerp Central Station (Antwerpen Centraal, not Antwerpen Berchem!)

BY PLANE

The nearest airport is Brussels airport (https://www.brusselsairport.be/en/passengers) 

From Brussels airport there is regular train connection to Antwerp Central Station, which takes around 30 minutes. There are 2 trains an hour, no need to make a reservation in advance.

A second option is the bus airport shuttle to Antwerp. This connection leaves every 2 hours and costs 10 euro per person one way. Travelling time around 45 minutes. The bus stops at Rooseveltplaats.

BY CAR

Antwerp is also connected by motorway. Parking in the city center is possible but prices are high. We recommend to park outside the city and use public transport.

Entering the city by train or bus is the best way to join the ACEEPT program.

 Finally, you might want to take into consideration the idea of visiting Brussels as a pré or post stay. Numerous connections by train are possible.

From the train station to the youth hostel Pulcinella https://www.jeugdherbergen.be/en/antwerp, Bogaardeplein 1, 2000 Antwerp, it takes about a 20 minutes’ walk.

Public transport

Train: Station Antwerpen-Centraal (1,8km of the hostel), then by tram.

Tram: Tram 5, 9 or 15 direction Linkeroever / Zwijndrecht - Stop Groenplaats (5min walk to the hostel)

From Rooselveltplaats it will take a 15' walk.
